Spurs are likely to let Younes Kaboul leave the club this summer, and having seen Eric Dier and Vlad Chiriches fill in at right back this season when Kyle Walker has been injured, manager Mauricio Pochettino may want to bring in cover at right back.
It's therefore little surprise to see The Mirror linking Spurs with a move to sign former England international Micah Richards, who will be available for free this summer.
Richards, 26, is currently on loan in Italy with Fiorentina, and even played against Spurs in the Europa League earlier this season.
With his Manchester City contract set to expire this summer, Richards will become a free agent - and could be a bargain signing for somebody.
It seems that Spurs are now eyeing Richards as cover for Walker at right back, whilst his ability to play at centre back may be appealing too.
The Mirror note that Sunderland and Inter Milan also want to sign Richards on a free transfer this summer, but a move to Spurs may be hard to turn down for Richards - if Pochettino's men do indeed offer a deal for him this summer.
