The Algerian international looks set to become a free agent, with Turkey his reported destination.

Reports in Italy are claiming that the contract termination of Parma striker Ishak Belfodil is now imminent. The cash-strapped side are looking to shave their wage-bill any which way they can and have recently let Jonathan Biabany go by mutual consent.

Tutto Mercato Web are claiming that Belfodil will be made a free agent later today, after Parma were mathematically relegated from Serie A.

The Algerian forward has certainly interested Premier League clubs in the past.

Liverpool were linked with a move for the player in May 2013 by Football Italia, before he made a move to Inter Milan.

His time at Inter was woeful. He failed to score or register an assist for the club or during a loan deal at Livorno and he returned to Parma last summer.

The Independent reported in January last year that West Ham were set to conclude a deal for the player. In the end, West Ham did not get their man.

All in all however, considering the fact Belfodil has scored just one goal in two seasons, Liverpool and West Ham had a lucky escape.

It is reported by Turkish source 61 Saat that he will join Trabzonspor on a free.
