Crystal Palace are reportedly hoping to secure the signing of Eder this summer.
Crystal Palace are hoping to snap up Sampdoria striker Eder in the summer, according to a report on TalkSPORT.
The Eagles are expected to be active in the coming months, with Alan Pardew determined to improve his squad, and a striker is one of their main priorities in the upcoming transfer window.
Palace currently have a number of options they can utilise up front, but Pardew would seemingly like to bring in another striker of more proven quality.
The likes of Dwight Gayle, Glenn Murray and Frazier Campbell have all shown their ability in patches, but there are doubts over their credentials to lead the line for a side chasing a place in the top half of the Premier League table.
As a result Pardew wants a more reliable striker this summer and he apparently feels that Eder could be the ideal candidate to bring to Selhurst Park.
The 28-year-old has managed to score nine times in Serie A this season and his form earned him international recognition - with his first Italy cap coming back in March.
There is reportedly a stumbling block in the deal at the moment, though, as Palace are only willing to offer £6 million for the front-man, with Sampdoria not willing to sell for anything less than £8 million.
