Matt Le Tissier suggests Thierry Henry won’t be pleased with Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal celebration

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier suggests that Arsenal great Thierry Henry will have something to say about former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal celebration last night.

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has taken to social networking site Twitter to make a humorous post about Thierry Henry and former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Le Tissier made the post during last night’s Champions League semi-final first-leg tie between Juventus and Real Madrid at Juventus Stadium in Turin.

Former United attacker Ronaldo scored the equalising goal for the 2014 Champions League winners in the 27th minute when he headed the ball home from a James Rodriguez delivery.

The Portugal international forward celebrated it by going towards the corner flag, after which Le Tissier wrote on Twitter:

Former Southampton forward Le Tissier was referring to Henry’s criticism of Javier Hernandez back in April.

The Arsenal legend was far from impressed with the way the United-owned Mexico international striker celebrated his goal against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“That’s Ronaldo’s goal,” Henry told Sky Sports at the time. "At that particular moment he couldn’t shoot, so he didn’t take the risk of doing something stupid and silly with it.

“He saw a guy in a better position, which Chicharito was, and he gave him the ball. What I don’t like is Chicharito seems like he’s won the World Cup with that.”

One wonders if Henry will respond to Le Tissier’s tweet…
