Manchester United legend Gary Neville has been singing the praises of Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood on Sky Sports.
Sherwood was appointed the Villa boss in mid-February following the dismissal of Paul Lambert due to a run of poor results.
One of Sherwood’s major impact at Villa has been to get the best out of Belgium international striker Christian Benteke.
The 24-year-old has been in superb form over the last few weeks and is banging in the goals regularly once again.
Former United defender Neville is impressed with the work done by Sherwood at Villa Park and said on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football show: “He has got them back up again.
“I think only (Manchester) City and Arsenal have scored more goals in the Premier League since Sherwood came in at Aston Villa. That’s the big thing. He has been bold.”
Villa, who have also reached the final of the FA Cup this season, are brimming with confidence, but they are far from safe at the moment.
Heading into this weekend’s round of matches in the Premier League, the Villans find themselves 14th in the table with 35 points from as many matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
Villa could still go down.
