Liverpool defender Jose Enrique: Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer is world’s best goalkeeper

Manuel Neuer 2 Germany

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique seems impressed with Manuel Neuer’s first-half performance for Bayern Munich against Barcelona in the Champions League tonight.

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has taken to social networking site Twitter to claim that Manuel Neuer is the best goalkeeper in the world.

The 29-year-old left-back made the comment while following the ongoing Champions League semi-final first-leg tie between Barcelona and Bayern Munich at Camp Nou.

Enrique seems to have been impressed with the performance of Bayern goalkeeper Neuer so far in the first half.

Neuer has been arguably the best player for German champions Bayern so far in this match, keeping the Barcelona attackers at bay.

The 29-year-old has been a giant in front of his goal, as it is 0-0 at the half-time interval at Camp Nou.

Neuer is one of the most decorated players in the world and is arguably the finest goalkeeper on the planet.

The former Schalke star has been on the books of Bayern since 2011, and he has since won the Bundesliga three times, the DFB-Pokal twice and the Champions League once.

Neuer was a key member of the Germany national team which won the 2014 World Cup.
