The 18-year-old took to social media to thank Leeds fans. They thanked him right back.
Leeds United youngster Lewis Cook has thanked fans and team-mates for their support after an 'unbelievable first season' at Elland Road.
The midfielder has been an essential part of Neil Redfearn's side during a turbulent Championship campaign, displaying incredible maturity for a teenager.
And the 18-year-old was recently rewarded by Leeds with the club's Young Player of the Year award.
Few could deserve such an accolade more than Cook and he has taken to Twitter and Instagram to thank those who helped him enjoy such a fine season with the Yorkshire side.
"Been a unbelievable first season for me, thank you to the fans and the team for the support, have a good summer!" he wrote on social media site Instagram.
Naturally, though, it wasn't just a one-way street.
Indeed, Leeds fans took to Twitter and Instagram right back, reciprocating Cook's gratitude and, at the same time, making a common plea to the young midfielder.
Cook has been linked with a move to the Premier League on several occasions this past year, with the Daily Star being one of numerous newspapers suggesting there is interest in him from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and more.
The 18-year-old certainly has the talent to reach the top but Leeds fans are hoping he will only be sharing that talent at Elland Road - for at least another season...
