Agent of Real Madrid star was responding to criticism.
Gareth Bale's agent has hit back at criticism of his client, with a thinly veiled attack on Roy Keane.
Keane was harsh in his assessment of the Real Madrid winger's performance in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Juventus.
The Italian side won 2-1, and Keane told ITV that he felt Madrid played with 10 men, with Bale lacking confidence in possession and letting his teammates down.
Keane's comments made headlines in Spain, but Bale's agent offered a swift rebuttal.
Jonathan Barnett was reported by FourFourTwo to have told the BBC: "Why should we take any notice of comments from people who don't know what they are talking about - and from people who have failed in management?"
"This is only an issue in England. Gareth is at the biggest club in the world. He is one of the best players in the world. He is fine.
"He only listens to relevant comments. He is 100 per cent focused on Real Madrid."
Keane is currently working with the Republic of Ireland alongside Martin O'Neill, but has had mixed success on his own in management at Sunderland and Ipswich Town.
Bale touched the ball only 27 times against Juventus and looked a shadow of the player who lit up the Premier League only two seasons ago.
An impressive second leg performance will answer his critics, but Bale and his agent will know that another display like last night's, this time at the Bernabeu, may only bring harsher comments his way, and not just from Roy Keane.
