Neil Redfearn explained to BBC Radio Leeds that whatever happens at Elland Road over the summer, he’ll get right behind the club.
Redfearn did a good job with the club last season, getting them into a position where they could consolidate and pull away from the bottom three in the table.
Redfearn had a positive impact with a number of players, especially the talented group of youngsters, and his message is clear if he’s not the man who will be in charge of the team for next season.
“I’m for the club. Whatever is the right decision for the club, I’ll back 100% because you want the club to do well and you want the club to move forward. If it’s not me and it’s somebody else and my bits has help towards the bigger picture then brilliant. This is our club,” said Redfearn.
One of the things that makes Redfearn so popular with Leeds fans is the way he’s so open and honest about his position and what’s going on at the football club.
He only wants what’s best for Leeds and if that includes him having a role as manager then he’ll go all out to make sure they are as successful as they possibly can be.
If he’s not the man who will lead the team over 2015/2016 then he’s not the sort of individual who will hold back advice or suggestions for the man who will come into replace him.
Hopefully Redfearn will be backed and get a chance, but anything can happen at Leeds.
