Liverpool media round-up: Lambert linked with shock move, Lallana hopes for more to come

A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Liverpool Football Club this Tuesday morning.

As we approach the end of the season, a lot of attention turns towards the summer transfer window and the rumour mill starts to get into full flow.

The Mirror has this morning linked Rickie Lambert with a surprise move to Chelsea in the summer with plenty expecting his days to be numbered at Anfield.

Lambert has not had regular game time at Anfield this season despite other strikers not particularly impressing - though he did get an opportunity to show what he could do during the weekend's 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers.

It's understood that Lambert is being targeted by Chelsea as a replacement for Didier Drogba who has acted as cover for the newly crowned Premier League champions this season.

The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool are still keeping track of Barcelona full-back Martin Montoya - who was linked with the Reds as far back as last season.

The report states that the 24-year-old is expected to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season, with both Inter Milan and Juventus among the clubs tracking the defender.

Adam Lallana has told the Mirror that there is more to come from him next season after an injury-hit campaign following his £25 million move from Southampton.

The playmaker has shown flashes of what he can do but injuries have disrupted his progress and not allowed him to get the kind of consistency he would've liked.

He said: "It has been stop-start for me. I’ve been really frustrated. I’d get going and then find myself on the treatment table again.

“I’ll be looking to push on towards the end of the season, do as well as I can. We’ve got an important run of games left and I want to be a big part of that.”
