Taking a closer look at the Leeds United centre-back's final appearance of the Championship campaign.
Leeds United ended their season with a 0-0 draw against Rotherham United on Saturday, and while Neil Redfearn’s men could not get three more points, they will be pleased with their efforts in what has been a tough campaign both on and off the pitch.
One player who stood out in particular – and not for the first time since his arrival – was Leeds centre-back Sol Bamba.
The 30-year-old Ivorian arrived on loan from Italian side Palermo in January and he wasted little time showing the Leeds faithful what he is capable of.
Everyone involved will be hoping he remains for the long haul; something he himself has suggested he wants to do in a recent interview with BBC Radio Leeds. But whatever the future brings, Bamba ended this season with another master-class in defensive play.

Against Rotherham, the Leeds loanee made two outfield blocks and 11 effective clearances. He also won three tackles, 11 duels, five aerial battles and 10 interceptions.
in short, he was brilliant and Redfearn will surely do everything he can to ensure Bamba is still turning out for Leeds next season.
It has been an interesting campaign to say the least, but there are plenty of pluses to take from the year, and Bamba is certainly among those.
