The Kuwaiti businessman released a statement regarding the issue a few minutes ago, thanking the fans for their valuable input on the matter.
“In recent months we have held a number of events to give season ticket holders the opportunity to raise any issues they have with the club,” reads the statement from Al-Hasawi.
“Lack of discount at the megastore was one of the most prominent. Thank you to the fans whose invaluable feedback has helped us create a more rewarding season ticket package, and also to Kitbag for their efforts over the course of our partnership.”
Al-Hasawi’s statement is an indication that he is open to listening to the Forest fans and getting their input.
The Kuwaiti businessman has not always made the most popular of decisions during his time at Forest (sacking of managers is one of them).
However, it appears that Al-Hasawi is now more receptive to input from the Forest supporters and is trying to endear himself to them further.
The fact that the fans could help convince Forest to take such a step shows that Al-Hasawi understands them and is willing to work with him.
Forest endured a tough season, and fans will understandably be disappointed with the campaign ended.
However, the supporters should take some joy from the fact that their chairman is willing to work with them and is open to their ideas.
