Four Leeds United stars who badly disappointed this season

Leeds Players Warm Up

Leeds experienced highs and lows this season - but these four players provided mostly disappointment.

Souleymane Doukara

A forward who seemed to start off well, Souleymane Doukara was Leeds United's top scorer at times during the start of the season.

But fans and managers alike started to see more and more of what they didn't want to in the 23-year-old. Doukara was heavily involved in one of Leeds' worst runs of the season and hasn't started a game in 2015, a lack of work-rate being one of his key faults.

And what makes his role at the club even more frustrating, of course, is the fact he was signed on a permanent deal after initially coming in on loan...

Edgar Cani

Unlike Doukara, Edgar Cani has not even impressed enough initially to earn himself any major game time. The very few minutes the Albanian has enjoyed on the pitch for Leeds weren't enjoyed by many others. The forward has made no impact whatsoever.

The good news here, however, is that Cani is only at Elland Road on loan.

Casper Sloth

Casper Sloth has been given chances this season and, at best, looked average. He has shown glimpses of promise and can perhaps have a case that he has been frozen out of the first-team picture by Neil Redfearn.

But, while Leeds boast phenomenal young talent in midfield, as well as the more established Luke Murphy and Rodolph Austin - and full-backs who have shown they can also threaten in advanced positions - there has simply been no place for the disappointing Sloth in recent months.

Adryan

A harsh inclusion for some, perhaps? Adryan has been a fan favourite during his time with the Yorkshire club and shown definite signs of his Brazilian skill and flair.

For someone whose loan signing was surrounded by such excitement, however, the 20-year-old has not delivered. Adryan hasn't shown enough strength, consistency or determination for Leeds.

Boss Redfearn has continually spoken of how physically demanding the Championship is and Adryan has fallen short of the standards required. Should he leave Leeds this summer, he can still have a blistering career elsewhere. But perhaps not at Elland Road for now - and probably not in England.
