Arsenal player ratings against Hull: Two standout performers for Wenger

Arsenal secured a solid 3-1 win against Hull City last night.

Arsenal secured a comfortable 3-1 win away at Hull City last night to strengthen their claim for an automatic qualification place into the Champions League for next season.

The Gunners have been in very good form over the last few weeks and it will be interesting to see what they do over the summer to improve things heading into next season.

Here are our ratings for the game last night.

Ospina – 5

Looked a little nervy at times, but didn’t really have much to do over the game.

Bellerin – 6

Looking more and more like a settled and assured right-back. Plenty of pace and coped well under pressure.

Mertesacker – 6

Dealt with the aerial threat well, but wasn’t really put under enough pressure to exploit his weaknesses

Koscielny – 7

Solid in all areas and didn’t put a foot wrong. When he plays well, Arsenal’s back four looks much more assured.

Monreal – 6

Decent down the left. Pressed forward well and wasn’t caught out defensively.

Coquelin – 6

Looks more like the sort of player Arsenal have needed in front of their back four for some time.

Cazorla – 7

Controlled the ball superbly and showed world class vision with a pass to Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey – 8

A position towards the right is not his best, but he’s doing a job and is producing the goods. His movement makes him very difficult to mark.

Ozil – 7

Solid and went about his business quietly. He’s been consistent in various important areas in the club’s last few games.

Sanchez – 8

Could easily have had four or five goals over the course of the game. Worked his socks off and is always looking for a goal.

Giroud – 6

Worked hard and created space for others but disappointing he didn’t get on the score sheet.
