Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Bakary Sako has offers from Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion

Premier League duo Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Bakary Sako.

Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Bakary Sako has told The Express & Star that both Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion are interested in his services.

Sako’s current contract with Wolves runs out in June 2015 and no new deal is in place.

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett revealed to the club’s official website at the weekend that the 27-year-old will leave at the end of the season (click here to read more).

The Mali international winger has now disclosed that Premier League duo Villa and West Brom want to sign him on a free in the summer transfer window.

“They’re both interested but there are other Premier League clubs as well,” Sako told The Express & Star when asked if there are any offers from Villa and West Brom.

“I have some offers from the Premier League and some from abroad, but I want to play in the Premier League.”

Sako is one of the best players in the Championship and was in superb form for Wolves in the 2014-15 campaign.

The former Saint-Etienne star scored 15 goals and created 60 chances in 41 Championship appearances for the Wanderers.

Sako had a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 52%, and he won 17 headers, 114 dribbles and 34 tackles.

Signing Sako would be a good piece of business from Villa and West Brom, especially as they would not have to pay any transfer fee.
