BBC Match of the Day pundit Gary Lineker has taken to social media site Twitter in order to praise Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The Welsh international really came in to his own last season, scoring 10 goals from 23 Premier League appearances which was enough to earn him the club’s Player of the Year award.
He topped it off with an FA Cup winning goal at Wembley, yet his popularity in North London soon started to diminish at the beginning of the current campaign as he struggled to make an impact.
The criticism he received was harsh to say the least, and those who doubted him such as celebrity spokesman Piers Morgan are now eating their words as he regains his top form.

As per the table provided by Opta Stats, the Gunners ace put in a complete performance before coming off 20 minutes from time as an injury precaution from an ankle knock.
Aside from his goal and an assist, Ramsey recorded three shots, two key passes, two successful take-ons and maintained possession for the visitors with a calm elegance.
Moreover, he worked hard for Arsene Wenger’s side without the ball, making three defensive duel winners and tracking the Hull midfield runners.
His performance coincided with the visitors’ stylish victory and prompted Lineker to Tweet in his support.
The victory takes the Gunners back level on points with Manchester City, five clear of Manchester United in fourth and nine clear of Liverpool with a game in hand.
Despite a tricky trip to Old Trafford awaiting, the Gunners’ remaining games are all at the Emirates against Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland where they can be hopeful of collecting nine points.
