Son Heung-min’s agent confirms Liverpool interest

Bay Arena - Bayer Leverkusen

The highly-rated Bayer Leverkusen forward is in Brendan Rodgers’ sights according to the player’s representative.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has recently stated that he is looking to bolster his attacking options in the transfer market this summer to add goals to the Reds team next season.

One name that has been consistently mentioned as a potential target is Bayer Leverkusen star Son Heung-min, with Metro stating that the Anfield outfit are keen on the versatile attacker.

With the South Korea international playing a key role for the BayArena outfit this season, the player is in high demand according to his agent Thies Bliemeister.

The representative has stated that the Merseyside team have the Asian attacker in their sights and have been scouting him this term.

“I know that Liverpool have on numerous occasions this season watched him and would like to have the player in their team,” he told Bild.

Son rose to prominence at Hamburg before moving to Leverkusen two seasons ago, where he has contributed to a top-four chasing side.

The 22-year-old has 17 goals in all competitions this season, including 11 in the Bundesliga and was part of the team that beat Bayern Munich 2-0 at the weekend.

Son can play anywhere across the forward line and as such would be a versatile and appealing option for the Anfield team.
