The Magpies have lost their last eight Premier League matches and are in serious danger of getting relegated to the Championship.
Carver’s side are currently just two points above the bottom three with three more rounds of matches left to play.
According to The Independent, despite the team’s poor run of results, the club bosses will retain faith in the Englishman and allow him to see out the remainder of the season.
The report states that Newcastle officials believe that “they still have enough in their squad to arrest a run of form that has been unprecedented in their history”.
While Carver does not seem to be showing any sign that he will be able to stop the rot, bringing in a new manager at this stage of the season will be a gamble.
There is simply not enough time for a new manager to get to know his players and start work right away.
A change of manager could bring in new ideas and make the players give something extra, but there is no guarantee that it is going to pay dividends.
