The England international has admitted that he would relish the Merseysiders adding quality to the squad.
Liverpool are widely expected to be one of the busier teams in the transfer market this summer, with a number of players’ futures seeming away from the club and new faces expected at Anfield.
The Merseyside club have a job on their hands to finish in the top four this season and look likely to miss out on Champions League qualification after a recent dip in form.
The former Sunderland midfielder has admitted that he would welcome some new faces arriving at Liverpool this summer and feels that next season can be a success.
“We have got quality players here,” Henderson told The Liverpool Echo.
“Obviously bringing in people in the summer we will welcome because the better the players we have here, the better it is for everyone in terms of competition to get into the team and push on and try to win trophies and try to play in the Champions League.
“We just have to keep improving as a young squad and keep building. I am sure come next season we will be raring to go again.”
With Steven Gerrard set to leave his boyhood club after a career on Merseyside, the Reds are expected to add midfielders to their contingent in the off-season while Brendan Rodgers recently admitted that he wants to add sign a goalscorer before next season.
The Anfield outfit were eliminated from the FA Cup at the semi-finals stage by Aston Villa, while recent defeats against Manchester United, Arsenal and Hull in the Premier League threatens to completely derail their season.
