West Brom fans react on Twitter to Yacob and Myhill performances v Manchester United

Old Trafford 2

The Baggies faithful were delighted with the duo after their 1-0 win over Manchester United.

It was an eventful day for West Brom on Saturday afternoon.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis admitted he went 'berserk' at someone at Old Trafford, while pundits took to Twitter in praise of the Midlands side after another expertly crafted Pulis win - this time against Manchester United.

For United, the 1-0 defeat was a mini disaster. Three defeats in a row and three consecutive games without scoring have set the Manchester side way back in terms of their progress under Louis van Gaal.

For West Brom, however, this was another huge step forward under their Welsh manager. And supporters were naturally delighted on Twitter after the game.

The majority view was that this wasn't a pretty performance but an effective one. Hardly a surprise under Pulis and nor is it much of a surprise the Baggies were able to leave Old Trafford will all three points given his reputation.

Much of the credit, though, need also go to the players, many of whom were sensational against Manchester United. Two in particular who impressed West Brom fans were goalkeeper Boaz Myhill and midfielder Claudio Yacob.

Myhill pulled off several important saves - not least the stop to deny Robin van Persie from the penalty spot. Yacob, meanwhile, delivered a typically solid performance in midfield. Here's how West Brom fans reacted to their displays on social media!
