Rangers manager Stuart McCall has been singing the praises of Andy Murdoch and Darren McGregor on the club’s official website.
Both midfielder Murdoch and defender McGregor have been key players for the Gers this season and have been in impressive form.
The duo featured against Scottish Championship winners Heart of Midlothian away from home at the Tynecastle Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday.
Although the Championship game ended in a 2-2 draw after Rangers let slip a two-goal lead, McCall was happy with the shift put in by Murdoch and McGregor, who was also on target for the visitors.
"I thought that both Darren McGregor and Andy Murdoch were outstanding,” the Scot told Rangers’ official website.
“There were a lot of good performances from other players as well but I think that Murdoch just keeps getting better and better. He was outstanding as was McGregor.”
Both Murdoch and McGregor will need to be “outstanding” in the final weeks of the season, as Rangers enter the playoffs.
Having finished third in the ‘regular’ Championship season, the Glasgow giants will face Queen of the South over two legs before taking on Hibernian - again over two legs - in the playoffs.
If Rangers get the better of Hibernian, then they will confront the 11th-placed side in the Scottish Premiership for a spot in the top flight.
