Rangers fans blame Stuart McCall for failing to finish second in Scottish Championship

Rangers finished third in the Scottish Championship this season.

Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to express their frustration at the team’s failure to finish second in the Scottish Championship this season.

The Gers finished third in the league following a 2-2 draw with champions Heart of Midlothian away from home at the Tynecastle Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday.

For the Glasgow giants to clinch second place in the table, they needed to win against Hearts and Hibernian to draw or lose against Falkirk away from home.

However, Rangers picked up only a point while Hibernian collected all three, meaning that the latter ended up in second place.

This means that Rangers will face Queen of the South over two legs, and if they win, then they will take on Hibernian - again over two legs - in the playoffs.

If the Gers get the better of Hibernian, then they will face the 11th-placed side in the Scottish Premiership for a spot in the top flight.

Following the Gers’ failure to win against Hearts, Rangers fans took to Twitter to blame manager Stuart McCall for it.
