The Hammers have gone horribly off the rails since Christmas and are not guaranteed a place in the top 10 of the Premier League.
In the opening months of the season, the London outfit were challenging for a top-four finish, but now they would have to settle for mid-table mediocrity.
However, there was something to cheer about for Allardyce and the West Ham fans on Saturday, as they defeated Burnley 1-0 at home.
Mark Noble’s penalty in the 24th minute of the Premier League encounter at the Boleyn Ground proved to be the difference between the two teams.
While Allardyce must have been relieved and happy with the victory after the match, during the 90 minutes he was very intense on the touchline.
The Englishman was shouting instructions at his players throughout the 90 minutes in what was proof that he is determined to end the season on a high (see pictures above, below and to the right).
Allardyce’s current contract with West Ham runs out at the end of the season, and no new deal is in place.
Negotiations over fresh terms will start only in the summer, but it seems that Allardyce is just as determined to win as he was in the opening months of the season.
