Nottingham Forest will play in the Championship next season, while Notts County will feature in League Two.

Nottingham Forest fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the relegation of Notts County from League One.

The Magpies have struggled throughout the season and defeat to Gillingham away from home today saw them drop down a division to League Two.

Heading into the encounter at the Priestfield Stadium, County knew that they needed to pick up all three points to preserve their League One status.

However, Ricardo Moniz’s side failed to do that, going down 3-1 to Gillingham despite taking the lead.

Graham Burke put Notts ahead from an acute angle in the 61st minute, but the hosts staged a stunning comeback thereafter, scoring thrice in the final minutes through John Egan, Brennan Dickenson and Luke Norris.

County finished the 2014-15 League One campaign fourth from bottom in the table with 50 points from 46 matches, just two points behind 20th-placed Crewe Alexandra.

Following the defeat, Forest fans took to Twitter to have their say on their city-rivals misery.

Below are the best reactions.
