Michael Owen has predicted in his Colossusbets.com column that Arsenal will win against Hull City away from home on Monday.
The former Liverpool and Manchester United striker believes that the Gunners will carve out a narrow 1-0 victory in the Premier League clash at the KC Stadium.
“Hull v Arsenal rounds off the Colossus, and I don’t expect any fireworks here,” Owen wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“You have to favour Arsenal but I don’t think it will be pretty and I plump for a 1-0 win for the Gunners. Hull have kept it tight in vital recent wins against Palace and Liverpool but I fancy Arsenal to sneak one.”
Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?
Arsenal will indeed head into the Premier League encounter as favourites, and it will be a surprise if they suffer a loss.
Arsene Wenger’s side are in good form at the moment and will be determined to return to winning ways following their goalless draw with Chelsea in the London derby at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.
However, Hull’s threat should not be taken lightly, especially as they have stepped up their game against the Premier League’s bigger teams this season.
In March, the Tigers narrowly went down 3-2 to Chelsea at home, and last week they edged past Liverpool 1-0 at the KC Stadium.
Arsenal are a better team than Liverpool, of course, but Steve Bruce’s team could well pick up a point from Monday’s contest.
