Manchester United fans react on Twitter to Robin van Persie performance v West Brom

The Dutchman was in poor form against West Brom yesterday.

Deja-vu? Once again Manchester United have failed to beat West Brom at Old Trafford. The Baggies won 1-0 courtesy of a fortunate goal from Jonas Olsson.

The Swede's effort was enough to give them a valuable three points in their fight for safety, and condemned United to another loss.

It was their third defeat in a row without scoring and United must now be keeping tabs on Liverpool behind them in fifth place, just four points off from the Red Devils.

It was a poor display from Manchester United who deserved to lose the game.

One player who did get plenty of interest on Twitter during and after the game was Robin van Persie.

The Dutch international started his first game since the 21st of February defeat to Swansea City. He has been out of action with an ankle injury and he certainly looked short of match fitness.

He struggled to get involved with the play and every time the ball came to him, United's attacks seemed to slow down.

Add to that a missed penalty, and it was not a good day at the office for the striker.

Here is some reaction from fans on Twitter to his display for Manchester United...
