James McArthur reacts on Twitter to Crystal Palace’s defeat to Chelsea

Crystal Palace suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League today.

Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Chelsea away from home today.

Palace lost the Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge 1-0, thanks to a goal from Belgium international winger Eden Hazard on the stroke of half time.

Jose Mourinho’s side, who won the league title courtesy of the three points, were the better team overall, but Palace did make it hard for them.

The players were willing to fight for the ball and were pressing on for the equaliser until the end of the game.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, Alan Pardew’s side had just 38% of the possession, took eight shots of which one was on target, and earned six corners.

Following the defeat, Scotland international midfielder McArthur posted the following message on Twitter.

Palace are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with 42 points from 35 matches and can still finish in the top 10.

The Eagles will take on Manchester United at Selhurst Park next weekend.
