Queens Park Rangers could not get a much-needed three points when they took on Liverpool this weekend, the Reds ultimately running out 2-1 winners.
Philippe Coutinho and Steven Gerrard scored for the hosts with Leroy Fer replying for Chris Ramsey’s side, but it was another QPR player who generated plenty of debate on Twitter both during and after the match.
Richard Dunne has featured 21 times for QPR this season and he has recently returned to the starting line-up after a spell out injured.
The 35-year-old helped his side to a clean-sheet against West Ham United last time out but he was unable to prevent Liverpool from scoring twice a week later.
With his contract expiring this summer, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the Irishman, but it is fair to say his performances always lead to a considerable amount of discussion.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what fans of both QPR and Liverpool thought of Dunne’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Having Clint Hill, Richard Dunne and Karl Henry in your team is basically asking to get relegated.— Christoph (@chrisgrahamlfc) May 3, 2015
Richard Dunne is still the best defender I've seen play in hoops. Absolute hero. #QPR— Victoria Samantha (@bitesranger87) May 2, 2015

How can you come into the Premier League and think it's fine to have Richard Dunne and Clint Hill as important first team players? Madness.— Ryan (@Rocketic) May 2, 2015
The fact that Sterling is being marked by Clint Hill and Richard Dunne and is not tearing them to pieces shows how overrated he is.— EmreLad (@LFCBanterKing) May 2, 2015
