Former Leeds United and Liverpool defender Jim Beglin comments on Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Former Leeds United and Liverpool defender Jim Beglin has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Chelsea’s Premier League title triumph this season.

The Blues secured the league title earlier today with a narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Belgium international winger Eden Hazard’s goal on the stroke of half time proved enough for Chelsea to pick up the three points in the London derby.

Beglin was following the match, and although he said that Chelsea deserved to win the championship, he picked out one flaw in today's performance.

Beglin was referring to the controversial way in which Chelsea scored what proved to be the match-winning - and title-winning - goal today.

Hazard broke into the Palace penalty area and went down under the challenge from James McArthur.

BBC Sport’s match report described the former Lille star as “ tumbling theatrically” under the challenge.

The Chelsea winger himself stepped up to take the spot kick, but after Julian Speroni saved his penalty, he headed in the rebound.
