Arsenal-owned goalkeeper Damian Emiliano Martinez has taken to social networking site Twitter to bid a fond farewell to Rotherham United.
The Argentine youngster joined Championship outfit Rotherham on an emergency loan deal from Arsenal in March for until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old made eight appearances in the Championship for the Millers, keeping two clean sheets and making an average of 2.63 saves per match in the process.
Martinez played an important role in Steve Evans’s side avoiding the drop to League One, and he is happy to have helped preserve the Yorkshire outfit’s Championship status.
After playing his final game for Rotherham against Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday, the youngster posted the following message on Twitter.
Martinez will now hope to get some playing time for Arsenal between now and the end of the season, although it is unlikely that he will be able to do.
The Argentine has made four appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners, keeping two clean sheets and making an average of 0.75 saves per game in the process.
