Crystal Palace travel to Chelsea on Sunday looking to prolong the Blues’ wait for title success.
Since Alan Pardew took over the Selhurst Park outfit, the Eagles have performed beyond expectations and pretty much secured Premier League safety as early as the Easter weekend.
A number of players have really stepped up a gear under the former West Ham United manager’s guidance and Bolasie in particular is really coming into his own.
The 25-year-old has been a regular for much of the Premier League campaign, and his recent hat-trick at Sunderland paved the way for a number of pundits such as Carragher to really sit up and notice.
“Palace are the sort of team where you don’t know what you’re going to get. They’re a team that can produce at any team and Bolasie – especially since Alan Pardew has come in – has been outstanding,” the former defender told Sky Sports.
Despite their excellent form under Pardew, the South Londoners are set to have their work cut out on Sunday as they bid to delay the Blues’ title success.
Jose Mourinho’s men need just one more victory to be assured of the title, and Carragher feels they will get the job done despite Palace’s threat.
“He’ll [Bolasie] be a handful but you have to think Chelsea – on their own patch, fans expectant – will get the job done. They’ll deserve it,” he added.
Bolasie has been linked with a move away from Palace in recent weeks, as per the Daily Mail, but Pardew is adamant his club will keep hold of him by valuing him at a whopping £40 million.
