Leeds United have a player on trial with two names in common with modern greats of the game.
Ronaldo Vieira featured in the under-21 side's 1-1 draw against the Isle of Man this week, and is hoping to earn a contract to sign permanently with the club.
The prospect is a midfielder, who had been training with the i2i academy in York, and used his Twitter account to communicate news of his trial to fans.
Ronaldo Vieira had impressed Leeds by scoring with their under-17 squad last weekend, earning the call-up to their under-21 team.
He is just 16-years-old, and is clearly a player Leeds are highly interested in given how keen they were to want to test him at under-21 level.
Given the reputation and proven track record of developing young talent, Ronaldo Vieira is certainly at a good club to thrive should he secure a scholarship, and if he can emulate just one of the players with who he shares a name, Leeds will have quite a remarkable player on their hands.
In a separate story, Oldham Athletic have signed a Ronaldo of their own, Ronaldo Brown, reported The BBC.
