The owner was at a game on Saturday... just not the Leeds one.
Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino was spotted at the Morecambe v Southend clash on Saturday afternoon.
It was a strange place for the Italian to pop up, especially as he had hinted weeks back that he would attend Leeds' final game of the season.
In the event, it appears Cellino didn't risk it, with the Yorkshire side drawing 0-0 with local rivals Rotherham United and applauding a massive Leeds crowd during the last game of the season.
All the while, their owner was at the Morecambe game. It's unclear as to why. It might have been a day out, a reunion with an old friend - or may even some scouting!? Leeds journalist Phil Hay confirmed Cellino had been spotted and joked he did say he would go scouting...
There will be plenty of questions facing Cellino this summer, surrounding transfer plans, the club in general and, of course, the future of boss Neil Redfearn.
This chaotic season is over once and for all, however, and Leeds supporters will be thankful they remain a Championship club. How often will Cellino be in attendance at Elland Road next season, one wonders? Considering some of the ill feeling towards him, it might have been wise to stay away from this one as he did.
