Nir Bitton speaks out following his wonder-strike for Celtic; explains he had last laugh with Ambrose

One of Celtic's key players this season has been speaking following their latest match.

Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton has been speaking to the club’s official website about the goal he scored in the 5-0 victory against Dundee on Friday.

Bitton scored the final goal of the night, after Leigh Griffiths, Scott Brown, Kris Commons and James Forrest had all netted for the hosts.

The Israeli midfielder’s effort was the pick of the bunch, the 23-year-old finding the net from long range to score just his second strike for Celtic.

The result means the Bhoys are now closing in on the Scottish Premiership title, with Aberdeen needing to win against Dundee United later today to keep the race alive for a while longer.

Speaking after his wonder-strike, Bitton said, “It was a nice goal and I was so happy because the guys have been laughing at me all year that I shoot terribly.

“Efe Ambrose is the worst for it. We had a bet because I gave him the confidence that he thinks he can shoot better than me.”

Bitton has been one of Celtic's standout performers this season and he deserves all the plaudits that come his way after a fine strike in an excellent win.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has helped to build a fine side and the future looks very bright, both for the club as a whole and for their latest goal-scoring hero Bitton.
