Rangers have played out a 2-2 draw with champions Heart of Midlothian at the Tynecastle Stadium in Edinburgh in the Scottish Championship.
Hosts Hearts made the better start and went close through Alim Ozturk and Jamie Walker, before Rangers’ Kenny Miller tried a left-footed effort from close range in the 15th minute.
The Gers surged ahead just past the half-hour mark when Darren McGregor turned in Nicky Law’s cross with his right foot from inside the Hearts penalty box.
It became 2-0 to the visitors five minutes before the half-time interval, with Miller finding the target by converting Richard Foster’s cross.
Chances were few and far between in the second half, with Miller seeing his long-range effort go wide on the hour mark and Marius Zaliukas’s header from inside the home team’s penalty area narrowly go off-target.
Hearts halved the deficit in the 82nd minute through Genero Zeefuik, who then scored the equaliser on 90 minutes.
The result means that Rangers finish third in the Championship, as Hibernian won 3-0 against Falkirk away from home and ended up third.
