Didi Hamann and Don Hutchison react on Twitter to Newcastle 'shambles'

The former Newcastle midfielder and fan are gutted about current events.

Former Newcastle United midfielder Dietmar Hamann has delivered a heartfelt response to the current crisis at the club on Twitter.

The Magpies lost 3-0 to Leicester City on Saturday, as John Carver's awful record at the club continued.

Newcastle had two players sent off and this was their eighth consecutive defeat. Hamann, meanwhile, feels for the 'passionate and loyal' supporters - who are clearly suffering.

The Tyneside outfit have failed to invest in their squad - and a proper manager - and are now paying the price with relegation form. Whether relegation is a serious prospect or not all depends on the form of Sunderland...

Elsewhere, Don Hutchison also slammed the 'utter shambles' at St James' Park on social media.

Hutchison used to play as a midfielder for Sunderland but has been a life-long Newcastle fan. Like Hamann, he is understandably displeased with the club's current state.

Newcastle have three games left to ensure they stay in the Premier League - but it will likely be the form of others that decides their fate.

Were the Magpies to continue on their current trajectory, their next win would likely come in a few years - at the quickest...
