Celtic were confirmed as champions of Scotland for another year despite the Bhoys not playing this weekend.
Ronny Deila’s side did their bit with a 5-0 victory against Dundee on Friday evening, and then waited to see if Aberdeen would drop points away to Dundee United.
That was indeed the case, with Robbie Muirhead scoring the only goal of the game for the hosts and ultimately ensuring Celtic were crowned champions with three games to spare.
The Bhoys have had an impressive season, securing a domestic double and coming relatively close to making that a treble only to lose in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Despite that blow there is no doubt Deila and his side will be celebrating their latest achievement for some time to come.
