Berahino: I work well with Kane - and I'm 100% happy for him

The West Brom forward has been discussing his England Under-21 team-mate at Tottenham Hotspur.

West Brom striker Saido Berahino says he is '100 per cent happy' for Tottenham striker Harry Kane after the 21-year-old was named the PFA Young Player of the Year, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Berahino has worked with Kane for the England Under-21s and says he links up well with the Tottenham man.

Indeed, the West Brom youngster is looking forward to playing alongside Kane again should he feature for the Under-21s at the European Championships.

And he has heaped praise on the way the young striker has stuck with the job at Spurs and earned himself just reward for his talent and perseverance.

Kane has scored 20 Premier League goals for Tottenham this season (so far) and it's no wonder the West Brom man is so impressed with him.

Berahino told the Telegraph of the Spurs forward: “The good thing about the Under-21 team is there’s a lot of flexibility. I’ve played as a winger and a No 9. It will be up to Gareth where I can feature in the team. I’l be more than happy to do a role for the team like here.

"I work well with Harry - definitely. I was 100% happy for him getting the (PFA) Young Player of the Year. He deserves it. He’s worked hard, managed to stay in the Tottenham side, and he’s getting all the rewards.’’

Berahino has scored 12 league goals himself for West Brom (before today's game) this term, making it a good campaign as a whole for England's Under-21 strikers.

Kane, of course, has made his debut for the England senior side - scoring against Lithuania - but the Tottenham man could still feature for the Under-21s again alongside Berahino.
