Pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted in his BBC column that Aston Villa will beat Everton in the Premier League later today.
Villa have turned things around under Tim Sherwood, with the former Tottenham boss giving the club and its fans a real boost since his appointment in February.
Villa sit outside of the relegation zone and have even managed to reach the FA Cup final against Arsenal having beaten Liverpool in the semi-finals at Wembley last month.
Still just two points clear, Villa need a few more points to guarantee survival, and will be looking to win their home games in the coming weeks.
They face Everton at Villa Park today, with Roberto Martinez's side enjoying their best spell of the season having won five and drawn one of the last six games.
"Aston Villa were unlucky to lose at Manchester City last week and, after struggling for goals when Paul Lambert was manager, they now look a good side going forward," said Lawrenson.
"Everton are six unbeaten in the league but I can see that run coming to an end this weekend because Villa are playing so well," he added.
Villa and Sherwood will now be hoping that Lawrenson's prediction is correct, with Leicester's recent form meaning Villa aren't safe just yet.
