The Israeli midfielder scored his second goal of the season yesterday.
Last night saw Celtic take one step closer toward winning the Scottish Premier League after victory against Dundee at Celtic Park.
The Bhoys won the game comfortably, thrashing their rivals 5-0. Goals from Leigh Griffiths, Scott Brown, Kris Commons, James Forrest and Nir Bitton did the damage for the league leaders.
It was of course the goal from the latter that received the most attention. The Israeli midfielder smashed home a fantastic strike from long range, to score only his second ever goal for Celtic.
The midfielder has a fantastic strike on him but he had not scored for Celtic since last August, so there was now wonder one Celtic player found the goal amusing.
Adam Matthews, who missed the game last night, took to Twitter to give Bitton a gentle ribbing over his strike:
Yeah biton. What a strike it's about time one of them went it ha— Adam Matthews (@Adam2Matthews) May 1, 2015
The Welsh international can talk, he has only scored once this season.
Biton's strike was the icing on the cake of an important win for Celtic. The Glasgow club are now nine points clear of Aberdeen in the SPL and play them next weekend.
If they win that game, they will be SPL champions again.
