Leeds United finished their season with a 0-0 draw at home to fellow Yorkshire outfit Rotherham United.
The versatile defender has built up a superb partnership alongside man-mountain Sol Bamba and the duo made sure Elland Road saw out its last game of the campaign with a clean sheet.
Rotherham rarely threatened throughout, and although Leeds were slightly disappointing as an attacking force, supporters can take solace from yet another defensive masterclass from Cooper.

As per the table provided by Opta Stats, the former Chesterfield man contributed greatly in a number of key defensive categories and remained solid throughout.
He recorded three tackles, seven effective clearances, nine defensive duel winners and five ball recoveries among other notable contributions at the back.
Furthermore, Cooper has developed his game under boss Neil Redfearn and proved to be comfortable distributing out from the back, illustrated by his 18 accurate passes.
It was the defender who came closest to handing Leeds that elusive goal, his superb header drawing an excellent save from the Millers’ Emi Martinez before Charlie Taylor also went close for the hosts.
There are still plenty of positives to take from Leeds’ tough season, however, with Cooper and the progress of promising academy graduates being right at the top of the list.
