Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has told the Birmingham Mail that he believes Tom Cleverley is enjoying his football at the club.
Cleverley joined Villa on loan from Manchester United at the start of the season and Sherwood thinks that the midfielder has embraced his spell at Villa Park so far.
There is talk that Cleverley could be set to make his temporary move a more long-term one in the summer transfer window – as he prepares to become a free agent - and Sherwood says that he hopes Villa will be an option for him.
"He’s really enjoying it here and he’ll have a decision to make," he said. “I’m sure that Aston Villa will be in the frame.”
It is no surprise that Cleverley is enjoying his football at this present moment in time as he is showing his best form for a number of years.
The 25-year-old had looked desperately short of confidence during recent years at United and it has taken him a while to settle in at Villa.
However, since Sherwood has arrived, his quality has been on full display and he is starting to show the talent which made United persevere with him for so long.
It has led to most Claret and Blues supporters hoping that he does stay at the end of his loan and it seems that Sherwood is confident of completing a permanent deal for the ball-playing midfielder.
