Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Julian Cuesta, report Spanish newspaper Marca.
Cuesta, 24, is emerging as one of the more sought after 'keepers in La Liga, with the paper claiming he is 'everything Tottenham are looking for'.
He is described as strong in the air when it comes to dealing with crosses, also possessing good footwork, and is described as a potential replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Real Madrid are one of the clubs interested in signing Lloris, report ESPN, who Spurs are reluctant to sell.
Any potential scouting of Cuesta could purely be a fact finding mission, research into potential alternatives in a worst case scenario, but the ex-Sevilla man is certainly an interesting prospect.
Marca report Newcastle United are also interested in Cuesta, and Italian sides are also hovering.
Almeria are battling relegation, one place and two points above the drop zone, and if they were to drop down into the second tier, their chances of keeping Cuesta would be significantly harmed.
