According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic are pursuing a deal to sign Willem II left back Mitchell Dijks, in a move which could cost £900,000.
The Bhoys are coasting to the Scottish Premiership title, but manager Ronny Deila will be keen to add to his squad during the summer transfer window.
Many Celtic fans may not consider left back a position of concern, but The Sun report that there is a 'major question mark' over the future of Emilio Izaguirre, leaving Deila to consider alternatives to the Honduran.
They also believe that Williem II left back Dijks is the player that Deila wants either to replace Izaguirre or just to put pressure on him.
The 22-year-old came up through the ranks at Ajax, but having failed to earn regular first-team football, he left for Willem II last summer.
At 6ft 4in, Dijks is a big and strong full back who can also play at centre back in emergencies, and has just one year left on his contract - giving Celtic encouragement over a summer deal.
A £900,000 bid is reportedly in the offing from Celtic, who will be hoping to land a cut-price deal for Dijks as they consider their options at left back under Deila.
