Crystal Palace put in an off-colour performance against Hull City last weekend.
Alan Pardew has praised the mentality of his Crystal Palace squad at his press conference earlier today.
Pardew is fully settled at Selhurst Park now, having taken over in January, and he is clearly enjoying working with the group of players he inherited.
He says that their attitude is exemplary and they have no problems admitting when they have fallen short of their own high standards.
Palace lost 2-0 to Hull City last weekend, and Pardew says that he didn't need to say any harsh words to his players, as they told him they were below par.

Thankfully for Eagles supporters performances like the one that Palace put in against Hull have been rare since Pardew has taken over.
The former Newcastle United boss has guided Palace away from relegation trouble and into the mid-table spots, with their displays generally being very impressive.
It has created a great deal of excitement around the club ahead of next season, and Pardew will be hoping that he can achieve something special with the group that he is so fond of next season.
Palace take on Chelsea this weekend looking to get back to winning ways.
