Hull City will face Arsenal at the KC Stadium in the Premier League on Monday.
The centre-back has been sidelined with a thigh injury since the start of February, but he has started training with his Hull teammates.
After a training session today, the 30-year-old posted the following message on Twitter, clearly showing his delight at the prospect of playing competitive football again.
Great to be back training with the lads. Felt great, credit to Christian Fernandez for keeping my fitness up. His torture paid off— Curtis Davies #6 (@TheCurtisDavies) May 1, 2015
Hull are in Premier League action on Monday when they take on Arsenal at the KC Stadium, and one suspects that Davies will not be match-fit by then.
The former West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa defender has featured in 21 league matches so far this season, creating two chances and having a pass accuracy of 86% in the process.
The Tigers are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 34 points from as many games, just four points above the relegation zone.
