Arsenal legend Martin Keown predicts Mayweather v Pacquiao fight

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown expects Floyd Mayweather to beat Manny Pacquiao.

Former Arsenal centre-back Martin Keown has told The Mail how he expects the boxing 'clash of the century' to pan out.

Floyd Mayweather takes on Manny Pacquiao this weekend in a bout between two titans of the boxing world, who it had been feared would never take one another on.

Keown has said he thinks Floyd Mayweather will win, but it will not be easy.

He said: "It should be a great fight but I do think Mayweather will win it comfortably. People forget Pacquiao was knocked out not so long ago and Mayweather is undefeated. He won’t want to let that record go and he is too professional and careful to lose!"

Mayweather is the bookies favourite to win at 8/15 on. The pair are expected to share $300 million from the Las Vegas fight.

It is being screened on Sky Box Office at 4am on Sunday morning UK time.

Floyd Mayweather has a perfect 47-0 fight record, 26 via knockout. Pacquiao is 57-5-2 with 38 knockouts. He is priced at 7/4 to win.

Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton have both beaten British boxer Ricky Hatton in recent years, who has since retired.
