Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane told Spurs TV that he doesn’t think the progress he’s made this season will sink in until he’s gone on holiday.
Kane has played well in big games and against a variety of opponents this season, securing the position of the club’s top scorer.
He’ll have to work hard to improve his goal tally by the end of the campaign and doesn’t seem to be ready to reflect on things just yet.
“It’s been crazy but that’s just part of it – You try not to think about it or dwell on it too much, especially me, I just try to look forward and get better and do better,” said Kane.
“I’ll probably be away in the summer on the beach somewhere and realise what I’ve done this season – For the time being I’ll just try and get as many goals as I can.”
Kane has also been in good form for the English senior side this season, scoring on his debut and could link up with the under-21 ranks again ahead of the under-21 European Championship.
At some point, he’ll have to reflect on the progress he’s made, think about what he’s done well and think about what he could do better.
He’s been fantastic as a player who never stops moving or working in Tottenham’s attack, but he will be challenged in a big way when the games start over 2015/2016.
If he can maintain 30 goal seasons for the rest of his career, there will be plenty of happy Tottenham fans.
