Derby County are yet to secure a Championship play-off spot and need to avoid defeat against Reading in order to make the top six.

Derby County loan star Tom Ince insists that the whole squad are calm ahead of their crunch match against Reading this weekend.

The Rams go into the game against the Royals with their fate this season still not secure and will need to avoid defeat if they are to claim a place in the play-offs.

It is a hugely pressurised scenario, but Ince believes that his teammates have what it takes to cope with the situation and expects them to thrive in the situation.

For Derby to even be in this position is a major shock, as they were challenging for the title only a few months back.

The Rams had looked like to be the favourites to win the Championship for large portions of the season, but a run of just two wins in 12 games has derailed their season.

If they do make it into the play-offs they will still be confident of success, though, as they have so much quality in their squad.

Derby, on their day, are arguably the best team in the second tier and Steve McClaren will be determined to get his team maximising their potential again as soon as possible - while righting the wrongs of last season's heartbreaking final defeat to Queens Park Rangers at Wembley.
