Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his injury news.
The France international has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee problem, according to BBC Sport.
Schneiderlin suffered the injury during the Saints’ 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
Earlier today, Southampton manager Ronald Koeman told BBC Radio Solent that the 25-year-old will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2014-15 campaign.
The former Strasbourg star has now taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at the news.
Sad about my injury .. I am not giving up on coming back before the end of the season ! Thanks to everyone for their support !— Morgan Schneiderlin (@SchneiderlinMo4) April 30, 2015
Schneiderlin is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and has been in superb form for Southampton this season.
In 26 league appearances, the Frenchman has scored four goals and created 20 chances, while having a pass accuracy of 89% and a shot accuracy of 43%.
Southampton are currently seventh in the Premier League table with 57 points from 34 matches, eight points behind Manchester United, who are fourth in the standings at the moment.
